Carl Grossberg. Sachlich – magisch – visionär

CategoryPainting
In the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal, this exhibition is dedicated to the painting of Carl Grossberg. Under the title Objective – Magical – Visionary, a field of work is addressed that is located between close observation, atmospheric condensation and a view of the future. The exhibition can be seen from 1 January to 30 August 2026. The location at Turmhof 8 thus puts an artist in the center, whose images apparently move between clarity and irritation. In the museum presentation Grossberg’s painting should be experienced as part of an art-historically precise, but at the same time idiosyncratic position.
