Inspiring SWANA is a collection presentation at the MK&G – Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg. The exhibition marks the reorientation of the non-European holdings and takes a critical look at the company’s own collection history. More than 200 objects from Southwest Asia and North Africa are on display alternating historical and contemporary positions, including ceramics, metal, glass, textiles and calligraphy, complemented by works by Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian and the Hamburger label Habibi.
