In cooperation with the Sparkassengalerie Schweinfurt and the Kopfermann-Fuhrmann Foundation On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Conrad Westpfahl (1891–1976) and in memory of the painter Sigrid Kopfermann (1923–2011), the Kunsthalle Schweinfurt presents works by two formative voices of German art after 1945 in the dialogical opposite. The exhibition draws on the programmatic focus of the House on informal art and shows two artists who were looking for an independent abstract visual language in different ways. CONRAD WESTPFAHL, born in Berlin, lived and worked in his last years in Wetzhausen near Schweinfurt.
