“From the restricted area to the place of arts” tells the story of the Hombroich rocket station, which was used militarily between 1968 and 1985 and was later transformed into an art venue. The exhibition makes the change from the guarded NATO area to an open cultural space traceable. The focus is on the special tension of the place: technical rigour, historical gravity and artistic use meet. The presentation places the rocket station as a counterpole to the island of Hombroich and as a defining testimony of the 20th century.
