The modern gallery of the Saarlandmuseum focuses on the exhibition Max Slevogt as an illustrator. It shows a little illuminated chapter of the Impressionist artist, whose collaboration with publisher Bruno Cassirer contributed significantly to his reputation. Between 1903 and 1928 Cassirer published more than 50 illustrated books and print folders. The show in Saarbrücken, from 28 March to 5 July 2026, places this group of works in the context of classical modernism and illuminates a productive artist-publisher relationship.
