In Hamburg, from 5 June 2026, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg will show works by Sara Sallam. The exhibition Pflege. Fotografiereidnen explores colonial traces in the collection of the house and combines photography, video, text and archival material to form a multi-layered debate. In three chapters, Sallam unveils new specially developed groups of work between grief, expulsion and resistance. Her research-based practice shifts historical images and narratives and seeks forms of remembrance aimed at healing, caring and counter-perspectives. The exhibition will be on display until 10 January 2027.
