Zeitfelder – Time Fields follows on from the exhibition “Enthüllt. Berlin und seine Denkmäler” in the visible storage collection and conceives of itself as an experimental exhibition space for perspectives on problematic monuments. Artistic reflections on German remembrance culture, including migrant perspectives, take centre stage. Interventions by Simone Zaugg and Pfelder shift attention from seeing to touching, hearing, smelling and feeling, using consistent wrapping to create a counterpoint to “Enthüllt”. Sculptures by the Syrian artist Amer Al Akel expand this dialogue between Central European history and contemporary political time fields.
